When I was taking pictures for my project on disappeared women in Ciudad Juárez, what worried me most was the children. Their terrible lack of security and the way everyday violence had become part of their lives. How they grew up and constructed their dreams amid so much anguish and desolation. After spending time in Ciudad Juárez, I felt the need to go back and make these videos about the little girls that lived in very violent neighborhoods. All are daughters or sisters of disappeared women.
